Default Who has H&R springs?? A coupla questions: (edited to correct my poor spellin')

I am considering these springs with the Bilsteins as part of the AWE group buy organized by John P. Thing is, I had been thinking about Eibachs instead of the H&R's. I've seen the Eibachs/Bilstein setup and am fairly confident that it will not lead to too harsh of a ride for my taste. What about the H&R's?? I'd like to lower my ride, but not compromise my comfort going down some of the less-than-desirable roads here in the DC metro area. Will H&R's set me up for a teeth-chattering, bone-jarring ride?? Or would I be safe assuming they are going to be very similar to the Eibachs???

Default Well - the shock is going to dictate firmness almost as much as the springs will since the spring

rates for the Eibachs and H&R's are fairly close. The Eibachs are going to be softer - they are 200lb springs compared to 250lb. It's not like your comparing them to coilovers which have 400lb spring rates. However, I've had the H&R's and they were not harsh, but i've never ridden in an Eibach equipped car.

Default I have H&Rs with Bilsteins and the ride is a lot less bouncier than I expected. I have to

admit, I drive on some of the most pot holed streets in downtown San Francisco and I've found the ride acceptable. I also have lots of smooth twisty roads near my area that I drive and I have to say that the upgrade is well worth the minor sacrifices of bumpy rides.

Believe it or not, the springs do not drop the car that much. A little lower in the front than the rear, per Joe RasTTa it was designed to match the original rake of the car.
