o/t computer question, The last 3 times I started my computer...

I get an error window that says:

"Exshell has caused an error. Exshell will now close."

What does Exshell have to do with and how can I fix this?

Exshell is from excite chat, used that lately? should be able to dump it via Add/Remove.

or maybe you are an @home user? I believe it is also part of their software excite@home.

If so you should be able to remove and reinstall their software to fix it.

There's 2 places it could be starting up...

...In your StartUp group on the Start Menu or in your registry under the Run key. Removing it from your StartUp group is easy, but if it's in your Run key, it's a little more difficult unless you are familiar with the registry.

If you are familiar with the registry, and feel safe editing it, the Run keys are in HKEY_CURRENT_USER or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE in Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. You're better off checking for an uninstall program in Add/Remove Programs first though. Edit the Registry as a last resort.
