Well, I finally got Office for the Mac OSX...
Here's the fix if you run into the same thing. You have to rename the Fonts folder in the System 9 system folder to Old Fonts. If you have OSX you'll understand this madness. And you have to dump the Roxio Toast X file (if you have the beta of their new OSX version) of the Quicktime CD file in your Library folder.
Works great. Except now when you want to work on any Adobe or Quark app, you have to go back in and rename it back to Fonts.
What a pain.
I can't wait til they come out with all the Adobe stuff we use that will work with OSX.
That's it from here. Back to you Monica.
Next, find any Adobe/PostScript fonts in the System 9 Fonts folder and drag them to Fonts (Disabled).
That's all I had to do.
If you're using Conflict Catcher, it can automate this for you.
BTW, MS states on their webpage that all OS 9 fonts get loaded by 10 whether Classic is running or not at bootup and that having these older fonts in your system is bad news, anyway.
If you want to say the apps run smoothly and you like the features, go ahead and credit MS, but please don't credit them for the interface...
