<center><img src="http://images.fotki.com/free/ca20/1/18279/37141/Picture-vi.jpg?1010372077"></center><p>I feel like I am living in and Florida old age home!!!

We have a lighter color for the Salmon that we will rag off and a darker Sage to rag off the other.

I knew I shoulda just listen to myself and painted it all black!!! Sage, Salmon...whoever heard of such colors!!!!

Default Umm, I've done a lot of decorative painting and you may want to

use a white or cream to rag off or sponge on that...even a lighter salmon is still gonna be pretty flamingo .... not being critical .. been there and done that. Why two colors in the room?? Is that your living room...maybe a bit much for that area. Good luck. There's always a coat of BIN sealer and starting all over again...I've done that as well.

Default Another tip....always start off with a color that is two or three shades lighter

than the one you really like.

Default I think you should hire me as your consultant before you paint from now on....

First I must ask which walls you painted? I don't think negative ragging is going to give you a good look with that room no matter what you glaze over it. The color is rather bright and covering over it with a translucent glaze is probably going to make it look even pinker. Also did you paint the ceiling or is the wall just reflecting the color up on the ceiling? Well I am going back to my cap't and coke now call me if you wan't some other ideas

Default ARGH!!!

The "salmon" wall is the wall between the living room and kitchen. The "sage" walls are the rest of the living room.

I think we are ok with the sage, going to go back and make sure we get a slightly darker, mossy sage.

The "salmon" just doe not work, especially with the wood kitchen cabinets, wood floors, wood windows and wood furniture.

I like the idea on not doing all walls in the same color. Thinking maybe a cream or tan color and bring that into the hallway to lighten it up a bit. Think the sage, wood and cream would give a nice blend.

Ideas????

By the way, the ceiling was not painted, left it the off-white color. And the suede paint in the bedroom came out great!!!

Default Accckkk!!! I have no idea what "ragging off" is, but I'm quite sure it won't help, sandblasting,

however, might just do the trick... ;-)

Incidentally, have you seen sage and salmon paired together? Besides on a Rainbow Brite sweater? ;-) I don't think they would work well. I would think sage w/ a steely-grey-blue, kinda industrial look... or, a red in the hue of cabernet.

Another option, that I find very tasteful, but depends on how the room is used... Do alternating 2.5-3" stripes in the same hue but in alternating matte and gloss... a great look for a dining room, study, etc.
