OT: Please tell me "ragging off" will make this better....
We have a lighter color for the Salmon that we will rag off and a darker Sage to rag off the other.
I knew I shoulda just listen to myself and painted it all black!!! Sage, Salmon...whoever heard of such colors!!!!
I think we are ok with the sage, going to go back and make sure we get a slightly darker, mossy sage.
The "salmon" just doe not work, especially with the wood kitchen cabinets, wood floors, wood windows and wood furniture.
I like the idea on not doing all walls in the same color. Thinking maybe a cream or tan color and bring that into the hallway to lighten it up a bit. Think the sage, wood and cream would give a nice blend.
Ideas????
By the way, the ceiling was not painted, left it the off-white color. And the suede paint in the bedroom came out great!!!
Incidentally, have you seen sage and salmon paired together? Besides on a Rainbow Brite sweater? ;-) I don't think they would work well. I would think sage w/ a steely-grey-blue, kinda industrial look... or, a red in the hue of cabernet.
Another option, that I find very tasteful, but depends on how the room is used... Do alternating 2.5-3" stripes in the same hue but in alternating matte and gloss... a great look for a dining room, study, etc.
