So is anyone going to the NAIAS (Detroit Auto Show)?

I'm planning on going sometime during the week (it's going from 1/12 - 1/21) to avoid the insane crowds...Anyone else? Of course, I'll take as many pictures as possible for those of you who can't attend.

Gnow, if you are chatting with the Audi people (not

that they ever know anymore than we do) could you please ask if the American LeMans Series/S-Line TT which should be on display (Avus Silver with red interior) has a different/lowered suspension like the S-Line in Europe. Here's a quote from Len Hunt...seems like they never mention the quattro GmbH suspension... thanks in advance, if you get a chance....oh and pics ;-)

"Hunt also announced that an American Le Mans Series Commemorative Edition TT will go on sale in the U.S. this year. There will be 1000 uniquely styled 2002 TT Coupes with special 18-inch wheels, high-performance tires, xenon headlamps and a unique color and trim package.

Two A4 variants, an all-new version of which was launched last October, will also go on sale in 2002: an Avant and a Cabriolet.

All three of those new production models are on display, along with the Avantissio."

Will do...If nobody can give me a good answer, I'll take detailed pics of whatever I can...

...So maybe someone on here can figure it out. I'll see if I can get the camera under the car for a closer look at the suspension if they don't have it behind the velvet ropes like the Steppenwolf was last year. I would imagine that if they have the S-Line there, they will let people sit in it and everything, but you never know.

bring a tape measure and measure from the center of the wheel to the wheel arch

both front and back. That will confirm is the car was lowered or not. Wheel size has not bearing on this measurement. Measure at all 4 corners. You can even compare to a stock TT and if they are the same, then no suspension.

Yeah...I'm really excited to see what everyone has this year.

...I'm just not excited about being in Detroit!

I'm still pointing people to the pics I took last year because there were so many cars that still aren't available...And some of them that hopefully never will be. I'll just have to remember to take the 96 meg memory card instead of the 6 meg card this time.
