If you had $5-10k to spend on a car

that has some nice tuning options, what would it be and why?

Mustang.........it's a no-brainer if you want to tune and spend very little cash

Personally, I'd buy an 87-91 model(forged pistons) for about 4-5k, then spend another 4-5k in mods and have yourself a totally reliable, 12 second car with a/c, power windows, and if a hatchback, a HUGE amount of room to put ****.

Maybe I'm biased........

ok, here is what I was thinking of...

Have one that needs a little work in my area for $3,800. Now it has not been checked out by a mechanic so I do not know how it runs except that it says "runs good" on the FS sign.

a 944 Turbo for $3,800? No way it is running "good"!

It has a bad turbo or something else is wrong with it. Don't have it checked by a "mechanic", find a Porsche Mechanic to have a look at it. It might cost you $100 or so, but will be money well spent.

I have been lusting after a 944 since it came out. If you need the name of a Porsche mechanic in NJ let me know.
