Default Paging Pat (and others who have changed grilles)

How hard is this (on a scale of 1-10). I have managed to get my hands on a nice carcature grille and would like to install it. However I don't want to.....

(a) break my grille removing it as I want to put it back if I do get a coupe and put the carcature on that one. (b) spend $$$'s getting someone to put it in

Advice, pics, stories would be greatly appreciated

Default Don't count on being able to save the OEM grille.....

It's not possible to remove it without destroying it (IMHO).

We've got some pictures of the Projectzwo install on our 'test' site and MTT has more photos if you need them.

Ellen and Michael's Test Site

Default Yup...the small tabs that hold the stocker in place are prone to breaking

Regardless of how careful you are, I think its the heat from the motor makes em brittle.

Default Let me know if they will do that - Ognar didn't want to install my aftermarket grill. A body shop

might be a better bet...... but of course you have that voucher!

Default I have had the front end of my car off so many times I cant

stand it and that is really the easy part.

The hard part is removing the grill without breaking clips.

I have the original in the garage if you would like to see the destruction =)

Default The voucher is for McKenna so I'm hoping they will

and they'd be able to replace my OEM if they break it. Other options are to take it to Mike and get him to do it.

I can then use the voucher for alignment + 15k service.
