Default O/T: Candle experts, a question
I've recently started to wonder where all the wax goes. Is there moisture in the media that evaporates when the wax is melting?

Just curious

Default it gets burned up...its fuel.. but burns slow...depending on what its
made outta of...parrafin, synthetics or tallow

burned up as in...changed to gas, evaporates? I'm not misplacing the wax, so where is it?

It's kinda like that, but slower.

Default yeah basically breaks it down due to reaction with the heat and takes
new forms....carbon and emissions and stuff..depends on whats in the base stock that determines what kind of by products of combustion you have....

Default Not really...it's changed into carbons and crap like that...you end up with ash...but you will lose
all the wax eventually...I'm not getting this, seriously..where is my stinking wax!!?

Default This candle I burned today left me with no memories...there is no wax, carbon, etc to show for it.
all went to gas?
