Poll: Are your Foglights useless??? Have you installed something else?

Really i use them all the time in the fog and find they really dont make
any difference other than making the car look nicer from the front. Was thinking about PIAAs or Hellas, last night had heavy fog and couldnt see anything... they just seem so weak and inefective....

Seriously.
I find the stock fogs do exactly what they're supposed to - light down and to the side so that you can see the road right in front of you and the road edge. Or, alternatively, so you can see the road in front of you so that you can actually see the road when your headlights are just providing the "Star Wars Hyperdrive" effect when snow is falling.
Fogs aren't supposed to slice through fog like butter, you know...

I haven't found them to be very useful in fog. The road
directly in front of the car seems to light up, but I can't honestly say they allow me to see ahead any better in fog.
Maybe other fog lights are much better.
