Reguarding the 18.5Gal in a 16.5 tank deal, I did call the State. But also ran 469.1 miles @26.1

w/out a refill! That works out to 17.99, and the tank did say "E", and the mile-o-meter said five miles left. I was not able to get a good idea how much was left past that, as I only had sixteen bucks on me...

HOLY CRAP! How the hell did you manage that?!?!?! The most I got was 390 and I was pushing it. :(

Well, if I had died, I would have been stuck on I-94. I have faith in my TT! I go over 400 alot.

I have had the same thing happen with this car and others in the past

I have also gotten over 400 miles on quite a few occasions and never put in much more than 14.5 to 15.5 gallons.

I complained to the station each time and they would either call the weights and measures dept or I would make the call.

I actually had a fight with Mobil Corp about a charge many years ago. They tried charging me for 22 gallons of fuel on my Mobil card when my tank at the time was around 14 gallons or so. Never paid that charge to this day! lol They refused to take it off my card and i refused to pay it.

With the TT I complained to the station and showed them my fuel mileage book that I keep and they said that obviosuly my car can't accept more than 16.3 gallons. I have run my car to empty on 3 occasions and never put in more than this amount on an empty tank.
