Oil dipstick question.

Default Oil dipstick question.
If the oil and filter were just changed, where should the oil level show on the dipstick? From reading the manual, it should be at the top of the indentation. But mine is a good quarter inch above that.

Default Make sure your car is level and turned off for a minute or so and check it again
If it's still there then they overfilled it.
Take it back as the manual says that it can damage emmissions pieces.
