Default Internet dating update...

Thanks to the online dating services, my plate is really full right now. I have a number of attractive, top-notch ladies who seem to like me, for some odd reason. For those of you who are single, let me say that the online dating thing is a great way to meet new people. Even when things don't always work out, at least it's always entertaining. Right now, my plate is so full that I have some really nice women who I would definitely have potential interest in (and who some of you would drool over) that I just don't have time to deal with!

Assuming she shows, I will be attending this weekend's Salton Sea run with a very nice young lady that I met online. 25 years old with a 4 year degree, a decent career, very smart and pretty, and a nice figure (not that it matters).

So for those looking, give it a shot. I've had the best luck with Matchmaker.com, but there are other decent sites too. For anyone interested, clicking on the link below to the SoCal TT Club will provide a banner ad which will get you a free trial membership. If you eventually pay, I get dough. But even if you don't, it's still worth a shot.

I am very happy with the results from these sites. Hopefully, they'll work for you too!

You know, sometimes it's hot and other times cold. Kind of like fishing. They're either biting or not. If you pay for a year, it comes to about $10 per month, or less. To me, this is money well spent, and even when the bite's not so great, I have a lot of fun with this.

Right now, the bite is really good. If it was just us guys, I could tell you what I'm not pursuing just because of lack of time. I do think this is a very good way to meet someone. You can learn a lot about them in a way that wouldn't happen in a bar.

Looks like you have a good thing going though.

Default I see your point...

Not to sound too rough, but the signal I'm receiving from you is that being shot down is a lot easier when it's not in person. Or your fishing analogy...

It is easier to let them know if they aren't a keeper.

Sike, just kidding of course...I really do see your point(s). Thanks!

When you're in a bar, you're drinking, and so is everyone else. The women are mostly meeting the player guys who are feeding the same b.s. to every other attractive lady in the joint. Then they wonder why all of the guys that they meet are jerks. They're only talking to the insincere players. Guys like me are playing pool and too reserved to walk up and engage in meaningless, superficial small-talk.

On these dating sites, you know so much more about someone. How old? What education? Do they have/want kids? Articulate? Good sense of humor? Where do they live? Income level? Good sense of humor? Psycho? You can never be sure, but you get so much more info.

If they're not interested, they won't reply. If I'm not interested, I don't reply. Tonight, I got 2 responses from women who were stunning. One lives in AZ but gets to S.D. a lot, and the other is local. The sad thing is that I might not have time to persue these. Still, I'll see if I can do coffee or the like.

Again, I do think this is a very good way to meet people. I've even made a few friendships with ladies when the romantic thing didn't work.

Default Word of advice. See something else than Salton Sea

I saw it about a month ago since I was working on it.

I'd recommend Amelie.

My friends have always told me to do the online thing.

Default I'm pretty sure he's not talking about the movie.

But Amelie was my favorite movie of the year!
