I'm not a ROCK/RAP kinda person...

Like Jazz and vocals predominantly...

you said you like jazz and vocals, she is both. Does covers of well known songs as well as her own. Saw her at Westbury Music Fair and she was amazing. Thanks to Gerorge (saxguy)

Default well... I'm not a huge fan of any vocal jazz..
but Diana Krall is a total exception.

John Scofield -- lots of funky, groovy, guitar-based instumental stuff. His release "A Go Go" is a fantastic choice. One of my favorite guitarists.

Russell Malone-- he plays guitar for Diana Krall-- he has some solo stuff that is pretty straight ahead.

Miles Davis "Kind of Blue" is a timeless and classic piece of jazz art. If you like jazz, you MUST own it.

Lots more, but thats a start...
