Tail Light, Brake Light, Turn Signal Mod
Top LED-Clusters are for the Tail/Brakelights. They are from Jamstrait and less expensive than the Ledtronics LED's

This is how the install looks like at night.

This pic shows a comparison of the Incandecent Bulb (on the left) compared to the LED's (on the right). But again, it's hard to capture a good pic of the LED's when they are on.
Y'all have to see all this in person. What I like most is the immediate response of the LED's to braking and the instant on and off of the Turn Signals.
2. How easy is it to do this swap out for all the exterior lights; front, side and rear signals?
3. How much does each assembly cost or better yet, how much would it cost to buy bulbs for all exterior lights? I assume there would be 16 total (5 each for the rear as pictured above, 1 for each side marker and 2 each for the front turn signal lights).
Thanks!
1. They are direct replacement, but if you look closely at the first picture, you will see some high-wattage resistors, the brass-looking devices. They are add-on resistors for the turn signals, to get them to blink at the correct rates. They are 3 ohm, 5 or 10 watt rating, for the 2 1156 type turn signal bulbs. The resistors are in *parallel* with the LED lamps.
2. The front will be the most difficult to do, becuse you will need to remove the whole headlight assembly.
The side markers are easy. I make these myself.
3. There are 4 1157 type and 4 1156 type bulbs in the rear taillights, per side. These are for the brakes and turn signals. I assume you do not wish to do the back-up lites or the small #194 side markers in the tail light.
Ledtronics wants some $48 *each* for these bulbs (!), so do the simple math, and it's nearly $400 for the rears alone.

If you use 12-14 LEDs' per bulb, x8 = ~112 x $0.50 per LED, the costs go up quickly.
