Default Lift installation in new house

We are in the process of building a new house and my wife just agreed to let me put in a lift in the 3rd garage.

Anybody else do this and have some input?

I'm looking at a Bend-Pak XL-9 that will handle 9000 lbs.<ul><li><a href="http://www.bendpak.com/DB-Interfaces/ProductChild/_reports/displayitem.asp?CategoryID=1&SubCategoryID=16&Prod uctID=62">Bend-Pak XL-9</a></li></ul>

Default yes, actually we are

Shine Racing in Walpole has these; a friend with a full size 4 door chevy truck wants to use it when installed, so I wanted to be sure it would hold..<ul><li><a href="http://www.nussbaum-lifts.de/">nussbaum</a></li></ul>

Default The Nussbaum is quite tall (161") ...

I prefer not having that bar on top, therefore making the total height lower (113"). The lift height is 78", so that is about the same.

The Bend-Pak does support 9000 lbs, so should be no problem for the truck.

Any idea of the price on the Nussbaum?

One difference is that the Nussbaum is asymmetric, and that might be a deciding factor for me (the Bend-Pak does not support it in the drive-over type).

Default Thanks for the pointer, I'll check it out. Probably look at the SPOA7LC ...

handles 7000 lbs (more than enough) as is ASYMMETRICAL (yeay!).

Default I still like this one the best. Good design, small and portable.
