I have the 2000 and got the 2002 as well. In some regards the 2002 is easier to use and in others it is a royal pain in the ***! It does not use a real web browser like the 2000 version did. Instead it uses a quasi browser and locks every feature of a browser down. You can't open more than one window at a time. That is the worst!

The search feature is still useless. You still need to know EXACTLY what to type in and spell everything perfectly. When you do hit on a valid search and get back results they do highlight the searched on words, but don't exactly take you where you always need to go.

The program crawls as compared to the 2000 manual. One of my contact at Bentley is away until April 1, but I will try my other contact.

You can't use this on more than one computer at a time which really SUCKS! I want to have this possible to run on 3 computers and a laptop, but can't do that.

I like that ALL of the pictures and instructions are all on one long page now. You don't have to continuously hit next page for each step of the instructions.

I'm still reading through this, but so far would much rather have a 2 or 3" thick paper manual.

The cd does come with access to the Technical Bulletins that AoA published at the time of the CD's publication. Any NEW technical bulletins will be a PAID service to access them. You will have to PAY for each individual Technical Bulletin, they are NOT part of the cost of the 2002 Manual.

For those with the 2000 manual you can get the 2002 manual for $50 by sending in your 2000 manual as a credit.

Actually, it's very fast. Maybe running XP helps..dunno.

you CANNOT install on more than one computer at a time! If you want to use this on your desktop and then use a laptop, you MUST unintall and then reinstall onto the laptop, then reverse the process to go back inside!

This is so freakin' stupid!!!! They said just leave it on the laptop! lol I said it is much more convenient to work at the desktop.

 

I have a humongous, high-speed printer in the legal file room I can route stuff to like this...print in minutes instead of burning up a few cartridges at home and taking days. Want to be able to bring all pertinent information to SpeedSport Tuning when they do the work on the new car...what a pain.

So, if I want to do that, I have to fill in the transfer form they have, then call them when I install here and get a code number to open....then, when I want to put it back on the computer at home, I to do that whole routine all over again....geez?????

They recommend BUYING a SECOND CD Manual for 1/2 price! They want you to have an individual cd for each computer you want to run the manual on! lol

I have to wait for the guy that I talked to a few weeks ago to come back from vacation on April 1. When he is back he will be getting an earful from me, don't you worry.
