Cyclists...I'm thinking about buying a road bicycle.
I'tes been years since I've owned a road bicycle as I've been periodically riding a mountain bicycle for many years now but it's been ten years since I've owned a road bike. Technology has changed a lot since my last bike and I'm wondering if any of you have any recommendations for specific bicycles or things I should watch out for when making a purchase. So far, I've looked a Cannondale, which seem like a solid bike but are pretty boring in the looks department, and Giant, which seem to be a pretty good value & you get a lot of bike for the money. I know there is also Trek and Specialized, neither of which I've looked into yet. I'm obviously never going to race the bike and am looking for more of a touring bike in the confort department with somewhat sporty performance.
