Okay, obviously I'm researching this camber issue. Some questions
That said, I've compared the different lowering springs used by Forum members. I have purchased the Abt and am obviously wondering if this will be an issue for me. My question is this: Are those of you buying and installing the KMAC (sp?) mainly those that have installed H&Rs? If so, the 30mm rule seems to make sense.
Here's the comparison of how much each manufacturer's spring lowers the TT. It would also seem that installing Bilsteins or some other aftermarket damper would also have an impact on these numbers, but I'm not sure just how. The number supplied by the manufacturer is displayed without parentheses, the number in parentheses is my conversion for comparison purposes.
Lowering Comparison on 225
Abt Springs:
Front: 25 mm (0.98")
Rear: 25 mm (0.98")
Eibach
Front: (27.94 mm) 1.1"
Rear: (27.94 mm) 1.1"
H&R
Front: (33.02 mm) 1.3"
Rear: (30.48 mm) 1.2"
I know it's scary for me to get technical on you at this point, but deal ;-) Comments please.
Perhaps Roadsters are more prone to the camber issue.. I'm not sure.
