Director of Financial Planning & Analysis
Description:
Replacement of current Director who is taking another position within the organization. 2 direct reports. Flexible North America has sales of over $700 million and 15 plants across North America. Plastic Packaging Division has sales of nearly $1.1 billion and includes businesses: Flex NA, Bottles NA, Flex Europe/Soplaril and Pet Plas.
Responsible for Flexible North America analysis and reporting of actual, forecast and budget results to internal management and parent company. Also responsible for limited internal management reporting for the Plastic Packaging Division. Responsible for the annual budget process and development of the long-range plan. Responsible for accounting and analysis of Headquarters' Balance Sheet including PP&E, inventory, bad debt and other reserves. Responsible for Plastic Packaging Finance policies and procedures and intranet site. Ad hoc projects may include acquisition analysis, capital proposal review or development, participation in financial system development.
CPA and or MBA required. Plant controller experience helpful but not required. Strong personal computer skills and familiarity with SAP, Data 3, or other production/sales/costing system. Must possess current knowledge of latest US GAAP and be comfortable interpreting FASB statements.
Qualifications:
10-15 years experience with multi-location reporting, budgeting, planning and analysis. Experience with general and cost accounting systems. System implementation experience helpful. Mergers & Acquisitions a plus. Familiarity with external reporting. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Must be equally comfortable working at both detailed and big picture levels. Must enjoy working independently on a wide variety of tasks. Can function equally well as a team leader or a team participant.
Knowledge of French. Knowledge of international business.
