Default Job Posting: Long Island NY: Production Engineering Director

Description

Develop, implement, and manage an effective Preventative Maintenance Program for all Production Equipment.
Develop, implement, and manage a Quick Changeover Program for all Production Equipment.
Facilitate FMEA's and DOE's to improve equipment performance.
Develop, implement, and manage an effective technical training program for Production Mechanics.
Develop, implement, and manage an effective set-up sheet program for all Production Equipment.
Effectively manage the Tool Crib and it's inventory, utilizing the Tool Crib/Washroom Management System in conjunction with the Production Floor Supervisor Station.
Effectively manage all aspects of the Mezzanine Operation.
Act as a Liaison between Production Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering on launches and ensures that the correct change parts are purchased and installed to meet preliminary cost standards.
Act as a Liaison between Equipment Engineering and Production Engineering on Capital Projects, ensuring that all customer and justification requirements are met prior to project closure.
Develop and implement standards, systems and procedures to assure reliable, safe, efficient and effective equipment is available to support customer schedules and objectives.
Staff and provide day-to-day management/supervision.
Develop and implement programs to support regulations and policies concerning comprehensive industrial/occupational health, fire, safety, FDA, cGMP, SOP, and environmental programs.
Propose, and manage, approved budgets that support their respective areas for salaries and wages, overtime, parts, spares, etc.
Optimize current people, budgets, and other assets in assuring corporate, manufacturing, departmental, customer and other goals are achieved.
Establish process improvement reviews that continually identify inefficiencies and opportunities that lead to improved quality and reliability, improved throughput and productivity, and reduced costs.
Provide technical, staffing, and other support for engineering activities.
Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications


Engineering Degree - Bachelor's required, Masters preferred
Five years' experience
Supervisory Experience.
Good interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
