Senior Sales Account Manager
Description:
Pechiney Cork & Seals is a leader on the US market of capsules for still and sparkling wines. We produce in Napa and import from other Pechiney plants in Canada and Europe. Overall volume of over 250 mo capsules per year California ($11mo sales in 2001, +11% per year over the last 5 years).
Position located in Napa, CA.
Within the sales team of Pechiney Cork & Seal of California, under direct supervision of the General Manager, direct responsibility of a sales region. Prime responsibility of about 100 customers generating 3 to 4 mo USD of revenues.
Customers range from a few hundred $ accounts to million $ account.
After a training period in Napa and in France, consolidate the current portfolio and then develop sales in a fast growing market.
The person will also take an active role in the marketing policy of the company.
Candidate needs to be at ease with technical issues or willing to learn (printing and decoration techniques among others).
Excellent communication skills required.
Qualifications:
Successful sales experience in packaging and/or wine industry or successful experience in comparable business environment (technical products sold to small to medium size businesses).
5 to 10 years experience required.
Excellent communication skills. Ability to deal with both small and very large customers with very different purchasing techniques and needs.
Need to be at ease with basic computer techniques.
Knowledge of French would be an advantage (numerous contacts with R&D and factories in France and Canada,Quebec).
