Need your opinion on performance problems today....

Today i drove my car with a beetle turbo S (180hp), we made burnouts, the temperature was 30°C, the first one i won it by 3 cars or more and my top was 250 downhill, the beetle was 220 because of the governator. The problem was not there, after that we made more burnouts in short distances and i lost all of them, my car was not responding to the turbo and he pass me since the first gear, i could not reach him never, the heat at the motor was very high compared whith the beetle, i would like to here from you what happened to my car, does this mean i am having problems with the turbo or something like that? If anyone can explain me this, because both have the same engine?????

I think the car is about to die. Poor thing. Take it to a nice scenic spot to rest.

just the temperatures??

I'm kidding....

I think you got it overheated. When you talk about all those burnouts it sounds very abusive to the car. I hope you are not literally smoking the tires repeatedly on take off. If so expect a short life and the clutch to fail. I would have a tuner work with you to get the performance you want out of the car. A rolling start would be easier on the car too.

Is there a source to get the temp down?? besides bigger intercooler (there is no one yet aftermarket

)???
Why does the beetle didn´t overheated?

It's your P-flo intake, trust me...

Turbos put off more exothermic heat then a naturally aspirated car, so even with the heat shield your sucking in hot air and losing rpm's. That's why you won the first and lost the rest.
