Another mod! Geez when is this going to end! A little audio mod..

Installed an 8 in Bazooka Dual Voice Coil (for a whee bit o'bass), tweets (mounted just behind the seats - yellow arrow) to fill in some of the highs (music sounds fuller - more like you are in the middle of the music)...using a Phoenix Gold XS4300 (333 watts total) -- 150 watts (bridged) to tube. The other two channels to the tweeters. Not even using any of the gain.

Yup! I can use the fader in Bose mode, without buying the Blautpunk (sp) harness. I had the installer solder to the rear outs of lineout on the headunit. Then I recoded the Bose so that it has active rears. Stock code of 00517 has passive front speakers and no rear speakers.

;-) well, to put it plainly, music now has some BOOM to it and nice crisp highs.

Nice. What trunk mat is that? Does it let you use the tie down clips?

It's a Stratmosphere mat and yes, you can use the tie down - there are cutouts for em

how do the tweeters sound... be interesting checking out the difference...

when highs are so directional and these are mounted in a 'nonconventional' orientation... does is act more as a fill, or just give more presence.... unless of course you're sitting in the hatch (which i wouldn't care to share with that bazooka lol)...
