paint defect?

When I pull up behind my 2002 brilliant black TT at night with the headlights on (on my other car) the paint on the rear of the TT looks like it's water spotted (but it's not). Not visible during daylight. I have buffed it with a random buffer but it still remains???????

obvious mistake: you should be driving the TT, not the other car... :-)

well, it may show phantom water spots but it is faster!

one must have something to drive to haul mulch, etc....

My garage allows tandem parking for the TTR and my A4 Avant. more

So when I pull into the gargage in the A4 with Xenons, they shine right on the butt of the TTR. And in the xenon glow the TTR's paint on the rear looks horribly swirl-marked. But in the light of day the TTR butt looks pretty good but not perfect. I think the nature of the xenon headlight light spectrum really brings out the minor defects in the paint viewed in that light.
