JOHNNY HERBERT claimed his first international race win for almost three years when he steered his Audi to a memorable victory in the Sebring 12-hour sportscar endurance race in Florida.
The 37-year-old former Grand Prix ace majestically swept his Infineon Audi R8 to a one-lap victory in the annual 1,300-mile marathon - his first race for the German "factory" squad - in front of a near 200,000 crowd.
"I had never seen the circuit before so I'm doubly delighted to have won my first race for the 'works' Audi team," said Herbert, whose last success was in the 1999 European F1 Grand Prix in Germany.

What a fun day. It ain't about the racin' at Sebring, though. It's about the boozin' and cruisin'. I have now determined I definitely prefer Road Atlanta for watching a race. Still, it was sweet to listen to the R8s as they flew by me at turn 17. :^)

Wish I could, but I'm already taking a trip to that area in late July for the big miaTTa gathering
It'll be my sixth year, and I was kinda one of the original instigators of this thing. It's turned into a gathering of over 400 cars with *no* planning whatsoever.
If I hadn't moved to Florida I'd definitely be at TT-East. If it had only been a year earlier... :^( I don't have the vacation time to do both. :^(
