Default opinions after first 10K miles or first year?

Greetings,

I have a 2001 TT Coupe 225 Quattro (replaced diverter with the forge), with a little over 20K miles. For the most part, I have been incredibly pleased with the car, and at this point I am thinking about my next move (either keep the TT and mod it, or get a new vehicle).

I have noticed over the past several thousand miles, overall performance has dropped, the intial 'pep' I experienced with accelleration has dulled. I experience alignment problems on occasion, and have some other quirks that are somewhat annoying (exhaust ticks, power windows have a mind of their own).

If anyone can give me some insight as to their experience with their 225HP car with at least 10K or 1 year, it would be appreciated.

Thanks,

David

Default About 19k miles, and not many problems...

There is a slight creak behind the seat and the breaks are squeaking occasionally. That'll all get fixed at the 20k mile service though...

Nothing but TTrouble free fun in our TT.

Default 2 years and 22K. Had both fuel sending units and the turn signal switch replaced.

Overall impression is a VERY BIG SMILE!!!

2 more payments and it will be all mine.

Default 11 months, 22 k and no problems other than

typical window gremlins - nothing more

my gauges are fairly accurate, my privacy shelf makes noise when it should and the car goes really fast

You need to have it checked if you're losing pep

Bonne chance! y'all

Default 2 1/2 yr. 48K (180) Fewer problems now than early on

Up to about 25k, I seemed to have a list of 3 or 4 things every (5K) service visit. Lately it's been nothing, or real trivial stuff like a burned out parking light.
I guess I would be worried about the loss of pep. Could take some of the fun out of owning this car ;-)

Default 22 months & 27k miles......

Between original owner and myself:
rear hatch rattle (common prob) fixed
headlamp problems, replaced
clutch (burned out by his son) replaced (he paid)
broken rear licence plate light module (pending)
Thats it!!
I'd check out that pep..... 'cause mine still has it!!

Default 14 months & 40k miles: amazing reliability.

I have driven mine at high speeds all over the western states with only one serious problem at about 30k. Wheel bearing failure. It started slowly and sounded like cupped tires. The origional MXX3's were 80% worn. New Dunlop SP9000's and no improvement. The noise increased to unbearable over about a month. The right rear bearing was emitting rust (the car is a quattro) but evidenced no visable internal wear or overheating. A new bearing fixed it. Otherwise the car runs great!
