Default UUC Motorwerks projects update:(new VM tips, short shifter and alcantara shift boot)

Visted with UUC Motorwerks in NJ this past Saturday. Rob test fit the new round tips that so many of you have been asking for. Work is still needed as the new tips change the angle of the exhaust and will most likely need to be angled themselves to "look" straight. Otherwise, they may change the design a bit, and release a version two. It was good to see them moving forward with the Velocimax TT exhaust to provide the buyers with what they want, but I don't think we will be seeing these new tips until summer. I have to go back to UUC for more testing in 3-4 weeks. We also tried to record some better exhaust music, but I haven't heard the results of this yet. You really need to hear the exhaust bass in person, and you have to trust me when I say there is nothing "ricey"(excuse the non-PC term) about this exhaust. It doesn't sound ANYTHING like that.

Rob took some measurements and pictures of the gearbox and gear cables. Some final work still needs to be done to the short shifter. Again, more time is needed, but the product is close.

Last, I borrowed Denny's rubber shift boot. A.K.A. "The Plunger" and Rob used this to make a template. Sometime this week, I should have a prototype alcantara shift boot to go with my seats. Not sure what color he will send me but the options for sale will be something like this:
Black alcantara with black stitching
Black alcantara with silver stitching(this is what I want)
Silver alcantara with black stitching
Silver alcantara with silver stitching

That's it from UUC for right now. Stay tuned...

Default Jenner - I ordered the Velocimax at the beginning of February for my 225TT. Do you think >>

it will ship in the next week or two? They first stated it would ship in late February. I called on March 1st and they said production was 7 - 10 days behind. I called on March 12 and production had been delayed for 2 1/2 weeks.

From what you are saying, it could be longer. What is your opinion on what they are telling me? Am I going to have an exhaust by the end of March or not?

Is this exhaust worth waiting for? I don't mind the tips that you have, I just want the exhaust!

Thanks,
Andrew

Default There is a batch with the old tips(tips I have) currently in production.

So I would assume if you ordred it in February, you will have it by the end or March or close to it. Again, I am not Rob or UUC, so I don't want to misrepresent them.

He did tell me while I was there, that a current batch is IN production with the downturned tips.

HTH!

Default Where in NJ is UUC??

I was pretty set on Forge for my 225, but I would consider the UUC if it was better in any way (with nice tips though). I was also interested in the short shifter, but if they don't do it soon, I will end up with the B&M. And is there a contact # for UUC?
