basslink vs. amp and boxed woofer?

basslink vs. amp and boxed woofer?
I've heard the basslink has had some issues with reliability. Also it doesn't look that secure with those tiny clips holding it down. Does this create any rattling noise? For an amp and a couple of 10's for around the same price as a basslink am I going to get a significantly clearer sound?
