Window Question:

So today it was 85 Degrees here in Sacramento and I had the TOP and the Windows down on my 02 TTR. I just noticed though, that the Window on the Driver side does not go all the way into the door when completely down, and the Passenger side goes down more but also not all the way. So both doors stop at different points, the Passenger is almost flush with the edge, and the Driver side is more at the height of where you could rest your arm on the side.

Anyone else noticed this at all? I'm not sure that I really want them tearing the door apart to try to rectify this but I'm wondering what others have seen.

It's sad to say but the windows may be stopped in those locations

to prevent glass slap when the door is closed while the window is down. I'm with you, I would not bother having the dealership look at it.

Try this on each window...

Page 71 of 2000 manual:

"The following steps describe how to reactivate the convenience open/close feature ...

Close the window completely by lifing the power window switch and holding.

Release the switch and then lift it again for a second.

The convenience feature is now activated."

Hope it helps, cured my problem.
