This will be incoherent....just stopped home to get my radar detector...gonna need it.
Seats...now I think I know why some of the bigger guys are complaining somewhat. These are narrower and feel much better to me...previously I had about 3/4" on either side of my thighs until the bolster started..was constantly sliding around...these just nuzzle right up to my thighs...am much more firmly planted in the seat..love it.
The 18" wheels (come with their own booklet on does and don'ts) to die for .. the ride is incredible...oh, now I know for sure the shocks were shot in Raudi 1...they were thunking like crazy lately...not thunking here...still the Bilstein's are gonna be great....
In-dash CD...love it. The Concert System configuration on this one totally different and much cooler.. The Raudi Red...I can't believe how it opens up the car...the back is not a black hole anymore...can actually see what I put in the back. Homelink programmed at dealer...great feature..no more garage clicker.
Audi finally fixed the stupid key...mine was always breaking off the ring...now has a nice little metal swivel piece to avoid just that.
Last but not least....I can't believe how much I love the quattro..taken it around all my favorite sharp turns at much higher speeds than I could have with FWD and the car doesn't roll...just unreal. Haven't even been able to set off the ESP...am gonna go out and try to do that now...just so unaccustomed to speeding without my radar detector that I had to come home and get it to truly enjoy the rest of the drive.
As with my other TT, dealer says, "Drive it like you stole it, no redline, no cruise control." You know I always laugh and wonder if some of the glitches in the cars are due to the cruise control. I never once turned it on in Raudi 1 (oops, Gina turned it on once on the way to Fallingwater and I made her turn it off. ... LOL) It will never be turned on in this car either. Got it close to redline already, but being good..hahaha..
Oh, a little thing I like...the emergency brake is red leather -- nicely stitched...I love the leather on that instead of metal....
Being very careful of door sills. They will pick up at my office Wednesday morning to apply clear bra. Getting hood, front bumper, leading edges of front wheel wells, door sill, side views and rear fender.
Avus Silver/Raudi Red ... superb combination...had gotten used to the TT not turning many heads any more around these parts, but the head snaps sure have returned with that interior. The Avus is so cool...changes color each time you look at it in a different light.
Oh, other difference between two: shifter is totally a different feel entirely...much more smooth and effortless.
Only thing I don't like is that dinky, oval rearview. Am going to see if they'll switch out with my old one on Wednesday. So damn tiny. Oh, and if my friend is reading....LOL, need those Euro mirrors badly...miss my little Autobahn mirror at the moment.
Actually liking the spoiler on this car...that surprises me. What else??? I can't think right now, just gotta get back out and drive.
I'm in love all over again....sorry to see Raudi-1 go, but you guys were right, I love this car.
Oh, rear privacy shield does not rattle and I don't have the intermittent buzz in the dash I had on old car. DV ain't honking yet and the turbo whine is awesome.
Outta here again, then I gotta come home and RTFM...bunch more booklets with this car than with R1
See y'all later with pics...didn't really take many at dealership, too excited to get on the road.

If you do this, I think you'll thank me later.
