Finally ! Did first Wash, Polish, Wax, general tidying of car (tires, windows) of the summer
1. When applying wax, use an applicator pad - it makes for thin, even application of wax that is not only easier to wipe off, but you end up wasting less too. I was using terry cloths for the last 2 years and out of the blue picked up the wax applicator pad while picking up some more wax.
2. Use newspaper to clean windows. I had read this a few times before and until today, hadn't tried. I ended up with clean, streak-free windows first try. I don't know exactly why it works, but it does.
I still haven't tried the newspaper bit for cleaning windows. Microfiber towels also work great on windows.
