why is my times at the drag strip now slower with the FMIC???
When i had the GIAC chip installed i ran a 14.0, then i got the FMIC and ran the other night, sadly i ran at best 14.6....
My reaction times were the same as the firt time i raced, but the top speed was much less. Please help me, I am realy mad at myself, i got the FMIC because i was told it would get me into high 13's
I would have spent the money on better things, like a body kit or put somthing down on wheels

Matrix said that the Forge FMIC would throw error codes with the Xchip...
So they did something to the original chip to accept the FMIC, so there wont be bad codes thrown and stuff.
I guess the temp at the track was high earlyer in the day, but i ran some night runs and they didnt get much better.
Its also geting close to an oil change, within a 1000 or so, do you think that might be it??

hhmmm, there are so many variable to this that I dont think
anyone can really answer this.
Driver Error...
Temperature variations
Loose hose
Clutch slipping
I could offer up a million different reasons why you are getting different times but who knows?

Who is Matrix?
Mike is running the Forge FMIC with the X-Chip and is not throwing codes. Car is VERY strong.
Where do you live? It could be the fuel you are using. send Andrew an e-mail at andrew@giacusa.com and ask him. Matrix can't change the code, only Garrett can do that, no matter what Matrix might tell you. Who the heck is Matrix anyway? lol

Matrix Motorsports (I think that's the name) and they are a Forge distributor who is working
with Forge on the SMIC that they recently introduced. They are also developing turbo systems for the 1.8T and VR6. From what I hear - very reputable shop. I think they are in Oregon - but don't remember for sure.
