Have any NJ residents gotten any speeding tickets in CT recently, and if so, did they show up...

on your record.

I got clocked with laser on Rt 84 doing 8 mph more than I was actually going; 86 vs the 78 my speedo said I was going when the V1 went off and I looked down. 86 is a 4 pt violation & 78 is 2 pts, so it might be worth a fight if they're going to tell NJ.

Call NJ DMV they will tell you reciprocation laws.

True, but at least you would know the worst case scenerio...

In most cases I think states in close geographic proximity are much more likely to transfer all points, and make sure the protocol is followed to a T.

You may want to take the time to go for the initial court date. In 9/2000 I got clocked for doing

81 or 82 before I got the V1 on Route 9 in New Britain, CT.

I contested it, got a court date and went before the clerk or prosecuter (whatever she was) and she offered me a deal for half the price...$150 versus $280. Don't know what points I got but when I spoke to my insurance guy, he told me that unless they have a reason to check your MV record, they don't necessarily find out.
