Default I was looking at this picture and had an idea. <more>

Notice the hood has a vent in it.

<IMG SRC="http://www.brad-anderson.com/temp/23.jpg">

I assume they put that there to get more [ cooler ] air to the Intake they are running. Any thoughts of doing this to a TT? I think it could really help the hot air and intake problem that the TT and GTIs have.

<IMG SRC="http://www.brad-anderson.com/temp/22.jpg">

Any one seen this for a TT before? I have seen the sport hood on the DTM Autohaus website but I think that is a little over kill. Anyone know where I could get a carbon fiber hood for the TT? Maybe then I could find someone in my area that could work a small vent into it. Just a thought... I don't want to hurt the looks of the car at all.

Any thoughts?

Thanx!

Default It is not a premade scoop per se, Dave went to a body shop and

they cut in the scoop, IIRC, I think he told me it cost him around $600 with paint.

Do ya think it helps to pull fresh cool air across the intake or is it more cosmetic?

Default since there is not really a scoop effect, I think it would be more for

help eliminating hot air as opposed to bringing in cool air...Does that make sense?

Default I think facing that way it creates a vacuum to suck air out of the hood.

I dunno though.
