2002 TTQC how to add amp to factory Bose stereo... My experiences =)
I just installed a new amp and sub into my 2002 bose system. For all of you guys who want to hook up a set of RCA's to the bose amp, here are the wires I used. I tried to do the thing that John P did with the head unit, but I couldn't get a signal from the inputs that weren't being used. I had my buddy who does car stereo installs for a living do the splice at the amp. He even put my amp inside the door panel with the factory bose amp. Had to make a wood piece and attach the bose amp to one side and my new amp to the other. Looks really nice, wish I had a digital camera! Anyways, here are the wires we used:
Remote wire - Solid Black
Left input:
Brown with white stripe
Blue with white stripe
Right input:
Solid Red
Brown with white stripe
The left and right inputs I think can be reversed as long as you use the two correct ones together. My line level converter had 2 pairs of wires and gave me one set of RCA's. I think they are for left and right, thats why I labeled those that way.
