What happens to your tires after 3 hours on the track?

But now a good reason to get some really good tires.
Actually, I've only been to the track once and had so much fun I want to do more and more. Must be like cocaine.
I'm actually thinking about getting a set of wheels and tires just for track time.
Another thought, as expensive as 245 tires can be, you often find lots of people letting go of slightly used tires a great deals. I have bought snow tires, and wheels, like that for some pretty low $'s. I have found wheels cost about $25 to ship, and tires less.

I bought a set of 6 spokes, they had some road rash so they were cheap
came with RE040's with decent to full tread. Those tires suck,but the price is right. Lets me keep my street tires in good shape, while I wear out the cheap 040's.
BTW, those pressures seem too high to me.
