Poll: How do you get out of promised meeting of wife's childhood friend in their hometown...

to instead test your newly modded TT in your first time autocrossing?

If I go (and don't want to), I'll be in a bad mood, which means...

you'll be in a bad mood, and the childhood friend won't get the "right" impression of our relationship. Then again, you might want to find out what kind of car the friend has before making yor final decision.

is the same true for your wife's friend, or is she/you making a special trip etc? If so, I think you should at least meet the friend. Believe me, I know how those things can be...they're reminiscing about old times and you're bored stiff. Give-and-take is part of marriage, so just suck it up and she'll owe you one.
