How do I get the rotor off now?

In an effort to get my bad OEM rotor off and replace it with a shinny new slotted rotor, I stripped the screw that holds it on ... it would not budge.

So now what? I put everything back together well and fine ... but how do I get it off now, and where do I get a new one?

Any thoughts?

more info. needed...

Did you break off the flat-head screw?
Is the shaft still in the wheel hub?
Can you get a vise-grips on it?

If not, you may have to file it flat, and drill it out.

The screw head is still there, the threads are just torn up.

I stopped before much damage was done. I'm guessing that I might be able to still get force on it with a big flat head.

I can't get vise grips on it since it's still flush.

I'm hoping to avoid the drilling ....

Have you tried a manual impact driver with a #3 tip

Even on boogered up screw heads those tools can get the screw loose in my experience...

Just drill it off. pretty soft metal on the cars(vw/hondas) i've had to drill.

Alternatively cut a large groove with a dremel for a flat head. pound the screw driver in a few times with a hammer. it tends to shake things loose. But drilling is the easiest way out in my experience.
