Just bought this ... Gotta do something about 30 Gigs of mp3 on my home computer :)
Instead of burning like bazillion CDs I thought of something better

Personally I think USB 2.0 will be the best/most practical choice...
will downgrade to USB 1.1 if needed, USB is a widesread format to begin with, just as fast if not faster then firewire. I like either, but all my USB 2 devices work flawlessly and are SUPER fast

Just figured a huge flaw in the unit :(
It skips first second of the song, no matter what format it is. 
Not a BFD but in a matter of days it will become a hugely annoying issue. Hell, I'm already annoyed.

In defence of the USB 1.1 in this particular model I can say only
that you won't have to do the data transfer way often. Leave the file dump for a night and all your stuff is already there
