So it is pretty much impossible to replace the headunit with the Bose option?

I know I could replace the whole setup, but I would rather just replace the headunit. I do not have a problem with the Bose, but i would like a flashier headunit, as well as one that supports XM, MP3 playback, and has an AUX input. I really like the new Panasonic and Pioneer units. I could easily replace the CD changer, but replacing the speakers, etc... that is a big project- one I am not ready for.

Tom any way you could integrate your mobile pc into one of those head units

with the pop-up screen? now that would be sweet!!!

it can be done, almost 100% sure of it

need to check on a few connectors, but I see no reason not to be able to.

No, not at all, It can be done....

You need to wire into the existing harness, that's all.
The OEM amps and speakers can be retined easily.
