Greetings from rustic Greer, SC: end of day one of trek to Bracketfest (more)
I left Longview, TX, this morning at 0630. After dropping my mom off with her sister in Montgomery, AL, I hit I-85 and started north. I made it as far as Greenville / Greer, SC before I decided that I needed to pull in for the night.
TT sightings so far (TX, LA, MS, AL, GA, and part of SC): zero
Hours on the road so far: about 14 (that includes pit stops, gas, lunch, and supper).
I'll hit the road tomorrow AM and head towards Washington, DC, to meet up with Greg ("undrway"), where I'll spend the night drinking beer and relaxing. Monday morning it's off for a whirlwind tour of DC.
I'll post more tomorrow. Sorry no pictures; I'm having to connect to the 'net via my cell phone and I only connect at about 19.2 or so.
