GF & I test drove two TT roadsters Saturday and have a question...

We compared a silver 180FWD and a green 225Q. The 225Q was noticeably quicker, however, it was significantly more "full of rattles" and "squeaks." The FWD version seemed tight. Is this common with the 225's, or would you suspect merely this particular car?

BTW, we also checked out the new 350Z ... very sweet exterior but the interior is INFERIOR! I could not believe how cheap every surface was ... especially the flimsy plastic "door" on the center console.

Get the 225!!

Recently bought a new 225 Roadster - no rattles - no squeaks - love the power - can't wait to drive it every day.

with the other half looking like that you must get the 225...but there are some that have these issues....suggest you continue your search...you have nothing to lose...i have the 225QC...because I prefer the look of the coupe...so you should also consider the coupe....it's more practical ...and gets as many or more looks even without your other half...

I absolutely LOVE the coupe...

However, I do want a convertible (replacing my MR2 with T-roof). I agree with everything you have said, but I do have a '02 A4 and an '01 Pathfinder for practicality.

must have been that particular 225...

how many miles on it? If it's more than 100 or so, I wouldn't buy it...people on test drives generally don't follow the proper break-in procedures for the motor.

i almost bought a raven black TT roadster (that had 2 miles on the odometer) instead of my coupe. it was rock solid w/no squeaks or rattles.
