From the tests I've read Chad, I'd stick with stock for only $8 or so, why gamble?

Many use the OEM filter. I have used the Mobil 1 filter,

it does have published filtration specs which seemed good IMO.

I just bought two from ECS for $5.50 a pop. Can't beat it.

Without writing a book: do not use anything but the OEM filter !

Ouch. Fram makes probably the worst filters. They made good ones at one time...

but not anymore.

Bosch, Champ(ion), Mann, Mahle, Purolator are all fine.

Anybody have any hard data? Consumer reports did a analysis on aftermarket filters. Thoughts?

CR consistently demonstrates incompetence in their reviews...

the one which gained Fram fame was from 20 some years ago, AIR.
