Chicago convoy to TT-East - PLEASE READ
Since Jim can't make it this year, I'm volunteering to coordinate the convoy...
If you plan on joining the Chicago caravan to Canandaigua, <b>PLEASE EMAIL ME at axel@mwtt.com</b>. This goes for people from the Chicago area, for people who will drive through Chicago (WI, MN, IA, etc...), for people along the way (IN, OH. PA) and for people whom we will join along the way (TX...). The general consensus is to take the U.S. route for the following reasons:
- we can meet with more other convoys
- we can't use radar detectors in Ontario
- you never know how long it may take to cross the border.
The tentative plan is to meet somewhere (most likely the Hinsdale Oasis) at 5:00am on Thursday.
Before I can make more precise plans, please email me, indicating where you will be coming from - or, if you leave in the Chicago area, where you live so we can determine an optimal meeting point.
I'll be posting this on OTOF and the official convoy forum, but if you know someone who is going and will not be catching the posts, please tell them to email me as well.
