Getting a B&M short shifter, have some questions...
How hard is the install? I had a 1.8t jetta is it any different then installing the dieselgeek?
Also what are the reductions side and front to back? Theres not much info on the B&M site!! MY buddy on here is hooking me up with it since it wont work on his 03 6 speed and it says it works for 00-01 5 speeds.

It's VERY different from the Dieselgeek kit.
The DG kit replaces a couple of parts under the hood while the B&M kit replaces parts around the shifter itself and will require working under the car. I don't have any personal experience with the B&M kit, but I think pretty much everyone agrees that it's a lot harder to install than the DG kit.
