Default Starting AWE boost guage install and already hung at light switch removal

Instructions say to push in switch while turning clockwise, did that,1. push, 2. turn, it turns a very short distance and click stops dead and parking lights come on. Try as hard as I can I can't push the switch in and turn it past a very short distance without the parking lights coming on. If I pull on it, it acts like the whole assembly, dimmer switch, and plastic cover panel are coming out. any body done this with success?

why do they want you to remove the light switch? you need to do more than that.

After you push and turn, just pull the entire unit out. It came out pretty easily.

Default Like Jeff said...Why are you removing the light switch?....>

Seems like dropping the lower dash panel is the way to get in there....

Default Damned if I can tell Jeff. That's the second step

after that remove fuse panel cover and under side dash cover, route hose into engine ......etc. finally after install then for wiring it looks like the wiring is attached to inside the fuse panel for both common and hot leads why the light switch is removed is baffling, and frustrating as well.

Default Stop. Step away from the light switch. Drop the whole lower dash panel that should be the first step

you can then get at the fuse panel, left vent, power, ground, etc.

Default Does that include the plastic cover, dimmer switch, etc.

It seems not to want to release. what's the purpose of removing it anyway?

Default Will do, I'll wait till morning with good light to remove the torx

bolts, and drop the lower dash cover or given my success tonight, I'll lose one of the bolts, or better yet, poke a hole in something..
