Default "monster" mats...

does anyone else who has these notice that they don't do their job correctly? i spent $72 on these mats which are supposed to keep water/moisture off of my carpet... i pulled up the driver's side mat this morning and the carpet is soaking wet underneath! i knock off my shoes everytime i get in, too, so it's not like i'm tracking in tons of snow.

i feel like i'd be better off keeping the OEM mats for winter use and destroying them over time, and buying a $50 set of carpetted 'TT' logo mats for summer use... i've never had an issue with the carpet getting wet in previous cars with regular carpetted mats.

just pissed...

Default I could only imagine one reason why...

is that maybe the seals at the lower pickup points are loose.. maybe some silicone.

BTW.. I've had mine for 2 years.. and my carpets are as black as new. And I have to treck through 10"+ of snow on a regular basis to get into the TT.

Default Did you get the OEM ones with the TT logo or some other kind? ...

I have the OEM ones and they haven't failed me yet. The only thing I don't like is that the snap-in buttons occasionally come apart but that's hardly an issue.

Yeah, mine too. I don't even click my shoes together before I get in and still no spillage.

Default LOL... no, the PSS9s are great! i've just finished running the car with the heat on 'HI' with the

mats out, and the carpet is finally about 90% dry... and is turning white from the salt that apparently leaked down there.

looks like i'll be having the carpet shampooed this spring...
