Quattro 225 Roadster Snow Performance

Hello, I have had an A8 and A6 but no TT. I am planning on buying one later this year but am considering doing it now as I live in Phila. I did a forum search and if I missed...sorry.I would appreciate feedback regarding viability of car in snow, appropriate tires, and how much of a blind spot there is in the roadster. Thanks in advance for your help.

Seems I have no problem with blindspot, not sure about snow, no snow in Seattle yet.

I think some of the things you will get from tt are attention, head turns, some compliments when you have top down, and good interior (with baseball option).

I got those too with A4, but maybe because it was yellow and modified.

Sorry cant help about the tires and snow.

The TT will not perform in snow as well as the 6/8, but I'm on my 4th winter...

here in Minnesota with the TTR on snow tires.
Get some good snows, and you won't have a problem.
I'm sure we get more snow and ice than you, and I've been fine.
We also have an A4, and that thing will out-handle and perform the TT in snow, same winter tires.
it's the diff. bet. the Torsen and the Haldex.

Also, there are blind spots in the roadster with the top up.

Well I don't know as my TT doesn't do snow :) but I agree

my A4 is like seemingly unstoppable with good snow tires on it... and common sense behind the wheel...

With proper tires only limitation is depth of snow. I have pilot alpins on my 01 225TTR....

and last week I could see by belly pan impression in the snow but I had no problem at all. I have an allroad which does pretty good but until I get better tires (P6 Allroads-all season are my winter tires now) I take the TT whenever ice/sleet is in the forcast. With appropriate tires such as pilot alpins, dunop winter sports, nokian, etc the TT is a more than capable snow performer. I find it better than the Suburban that my allroad replaced. So I say up to 8" of snow the TT is good to go- on hard pack snow/ice/slush it rocks.
