"Engine running only" switched power...I've discovered something quite useful.
I'm posting this mostly for sake of the archives because I didnt find anything about it when I searched, and I saw that someone else had actually been looking for this and apparently never found it.
The last post on the right(passenger)side of the main distrbution block (behind the fuse box)is hot only when the engine is running. It has a bright blue , 10? gauge wire on it, and is labeled "87F/Diesel".
Hope this helps somebody in the future sometime. Handy for gauge controllers and god knows what else.

Gauge controllers? What people are usually looking for and I finally found last week...
Is the plain BLACK wire. It is what's needed for Autometer electronic gauges amongst other things, which is switched... yet it stays constant during cranking (most other things are cut off for a moment and will screw the calibration). It can be found in the group of wires under the steering column, and it takes some work to get to. You have to unwrap some of the tape covering it.
I've looked into that last post (since it was where my mechanic recommended) and it too is not a constant power supply.
