Go to the dealer where you purchased your TT and negotiate to get a free loaner until such time as they can repair your vehicle. A free loaner should be part of the Audi warranty if repairs take more than one day.

Default Your comment about the free loaner being "part of the Audi warranty if repairs take more than...

... one day" holds true for The States, but may not be part of the 2004 UK warranty.

After all, this is an international forum.

That is why I used the word "negotiate" and the words "should be" although it would seem logical that Audi might offer non-USA customers a similar warranty to what is offered to USA customers. If USA customers do get a better deal, then hooray for us...

Default Hehehehehehehe! You crack me up. Negotiate with a dealer based on the warranty...

... from another continent!

Right.

Perhaps you can negotiate with your dealer to allow you to fit an ABT chip to your car. After all, selected ABT ECM mods are covered by the Audi warranty in Germany.

Yeah sure.

If I wanted the German chip mod, I would negotiate with my dealer to have it installed and to keep the warranty intact. Yes.

I looked at the Audi UK site. It was not possible to get warranty specifics, but there is a three year warranty on Audi TT's in the UK.

In the case of the person whose DSG packed it in after only 900 miles, I do believe he should take his purchase contract to the dealership and negotiate with them for a free loaner. And I don't give a rat's *** what continent he is on. Negotiating for what is reasonably needed applies to any continent. Unless, in the UK, a customer has no reasonable expectation that a purchase of an Audi TT will provide a vehicle that is fit and suitable for the purposes intended...
